Chains lan parties?

Post by Bentley »

Any more planned? Id have joined the ut one but i hate installing extra mods, always too low on disk space. What were the other games you picked up? Dont suppose either of em were Dungeon Siege or Starcraft? Id be up for that! :P

You know I could go for a bit of Starcraft .. Hmm

Well I have another session planned for in a couple of weeks, I'll let everyone know before hand.. I normally end up with 3 or four people round here too so might get crowded hehe.

For Info I have picked up these games for a try at mulitplayer -
Emperor battle for Dune
Divine Divinity
Cultures 2
StrongHold
Worms Battle Pack (Includes Worms 2, Worms Armageddon and Worms World Party
Tactical Ops - Assualt On Terror

I already have Dungeon Siege and will download Starcraft now (can't find my copy anywhere).

Anyone else suggest a suitable multiplayer game?

:)

I'd be up for starcraft also, if I can find the disks.

Then join my farming alliance where we'll build farms in every corner of the galaxy?

I'll see if bradleys interested in joining in if hes not too busy shagging his daughter!

Chain, Im pretty sure Divine Divinity's only single player. Put me off getting it that did. Erm. Counterstrike! Thats a good game. :)

It won't be long now before our LAN connection is finally fitted in our rooms. A Warcraft 3 multi'd be great fun... ;)

I can play against PC users, can't I?

Yes, but they tend to not be as aggressive as the computer players who seem to contruct a army twice as quick as me! and then come over and wipe me out. But awesome game neitherless :p

Hmm I honestly didn't think that many people would be this interested hehe..

Ok next weekend I'm planning on trying another session of muliplayer mayhem.

I sort of torn between these three at the moment -

Starcraft
Warcraft 3
Dungeon Siege

I'm steering clear of URT2003 because frankly its poo compared to URT ;)

So the next question is.. Can I get them to work

Going to do some testing tonight and tomorrow, to make sure you guys can join in without any packet loss.

Anyway that wants any of the above games let me know and I'll post them out monday. ;)

One other thing, is there no way to get the them online without a *cough* key? Are there no workign keygens?

:)

Well you dont need any key for dungeon siege, it just works and theres a patch on gamecopyworld to get starcraft running on battle net, not tried it tho, and a util to set up a lan game of warcraft 3 over the internet. megagames and go.to/gamefix are good places to get patched nocd exes. Looking forward to building a bunch of farms and then dying. :)

If anyone fancies a game before the 'big party' then giz a shout. Not much for warcraft tho. Or anything with stinkin orcs or elves in!

Warcraft 3 I don't think you can... my burn wouldn't let me play online so i went and bought the original...

sorry to throw some more games into the discussion but what about:

Impossible Creatures I have a burn of it which is no cd and you can play online... i think there's a lan option there aswell..

It's a newish game i think very similar to AOM but you can mix n match creatures to build a rude army.... pretty cool game

and Jedi Knight 2 Outcast is another game you can play online with a burnt copy

and it works pretty well even on a 56k..

there's some sweet mods out there for JK2 aswell playing as yoda, boba fett (jetpack included) double ended sabers, dual saber etc.....
