Pets they break your heart

I just returned from the vets after having to put my dog down. He was only 11 months old and he had an enlarged heart which meant he couldnt breathe properly, apparently its a gentic problem with collies. It was 3.20 I held my dog whilst the vet injected him, he then lay down on his side, about a minute later there was 2 short gasps and he was gone. It was horrible because I felt the exact moment that he went, and then I knew I was no longer holding my dog. The way I look at it is that he had 11 short months, but at least he was loved dearly and I was with him when he went. Pets they break your heart.

Really sorry to hear that Moby

I know how you feel (kind of). I am currently nursing my own cat who recently lost her life long partner from cancer a few weeks ago.

Really depressing stuff.

Death is a vile part of this life.
