Which model did you get Mike? And is it DVD- or DVD+? I got a good deal on a Pioneer A05 (DVD-R). I was tempted by the Sony multi format writer, but for what I'll be using it for the price is a bit silly. I mainly want to piss about with putting my DV cam stuff onto DVD and some file storage etc. C...

Finally. FINALLY, got my DVD writer installed and 'working' properly. How 'kin hard can something so simple be?!

Anyway, advice is now needed on good SW for editing and then writing my DV footage to 'proper' DVD.

The Ulead stuff seems fairly decent and easy to use. Any other opinions?

Simon is right. If you have XP on (especially XP Pro), use a x-over cable, select network wizard and it's all done for you.
