For .com Domain Names, pop over to godaddy.com They are offering .com's for around £3.70, much better than the £25 123reg are charging :)

As with anything like this, the easy part is the idea. The hard thing is getting people to know about it. The rices seem good to mee, but remember, your going to have to supply support to people etc. PS: On my 419eater.com site I'm up to 600meg+ of webspace, and around 20 gig a month bandwidth on av...

Thanks for the offer, but I suspect it might not be able to scan the negatives I have. They are all B+W 120 negatives (6 x 6cm).

Renting PC equipment

Does anyone here know of a company that rents PC peripherals? I'm looking to rent a decent quality negative/slide scanner for a few days. Whilst clearing out the attic I found a couple of hundred old negatives that I thought had been lost. A decent negative scanner will cost me £400+ to buy buta I d...

Blowing my own trumpet

Just thought someone here might be interested in a tiny victory. On Monday I managed to con a Nigerian scammer into sending me $20 as a "symbol of trust". A small amount to us I know, but in Nigeria it represents a few weeks wages for the average worker, except the guy I'm baiting isn't a ...

Re: The UK

A mate of mine's doing a project based on people's real views of Southampton, but he's decided to do something based on Britain too... So basically what mainly do/don't you like about this country? My main dislike, for example, would be the public transport system. Thought I'd post this here, as th...

Namco hits from the '80s arcade stik.

Anyone got one of these? Link: THE GADGET SHOP - NAMCO I picked one up in the Trafford Centre at the weekend. Superb little device. Along the same lines as the Atari stick except the games are the real MccCoy, not emulated. Games included are, Pacman, Galaxians, Dig-Dig, Rally-X and Bosconian. OK, s...

looking for Arial Rounded Bole and Arial Rounded. I know there's a MT Bold in Windows but that's no good.

Searched on the net but the only versions I can seem to find I have to pay for!

Re: Ouch

I've gone my whole life without breaking a single bone, so I count myself very lucky. I feel for you mate. Such a bloody awful place for it to happen (your arm, not the train!). Well I am sitting at home with my arm in a sling as I broke it Wed morning. I stepped off the train to go to work, slipped...
