USB port
Wonder if anybody here would know... My mate's laptop developed a problem with one of his USB ports, and when I looked at it, seemed a bit odd. I've taken a picture to show what I mean: http://homepage.mac.com/sleepingboy/usb.jpg Any ideas? Seems the white bit that holds the plug in is missing... :?

I read that the IBM chips are being based on the G5's, and the dev kits are up and running on them already..... as an example, the G5 doesn't work with the current version of Virtual PC. so unless an Intel chip is put in there, backwards compatibility would be pretty crappy overall. Very unlikely th...

I've never been fussed with the Sony offerings at all. More games than sense. I was quite impressed with the EyeToy though, that was fun. Also if anybody actually got the Zelda bonus disk which had the 4 games on it, and saw that piss-poor conversion of Majora's Mask, hope Nintendo don't continue to...

Hard to say. There hasn't been many games that have appealed to me recently. The DS sounds a little bizarre (as usual), but even if Nintendo are being battered at the moment, who wouldn't look forward to their own games?! :) Based on sheer usage though, like you Simon would have to be the next Xbox....

DV bridge frame drop
Anybody had any experience with a Formac DV bridge thing - something that allows capture of analogue video via Firewire? I've been using one the last few days properly, but had nothing but problems with it dropping frames. :( I've tried capturing with Premiere and other programs, but it always drops...

My turn to require a test... :)
I've finally gotten hold of a program, Cleaner 6, that creates Windows Media files but sadly can't test it on a PC at the moment.... could any of you check this for me? http://homepage.mac.com/sleepingboy/jurassicfart.wmv It's a QT movie I converted - not mine (unfortunately). ;) It's only 1Mb, but ...

Cor, blimey, hope that don't mean you watch Trisha mate... ;) ;) ;) Yep - I know. I'm glad you have discerned this for yourself through your own experience. A credit to you sir ! Cheers, but real credit lies in having a kick up the arse when needed!! ;) The final nail in the coffin for this place ca...
The UK
A mate of mine's doing a project based on people's real views of Southampton, but he's decided to do something based on Britain too... So basically what mainly do/don't you like about this country? My main dislike, for example, would be the public transport system. Thought I'd post this here, as the...
