phuckin' spam shite !
Anybody else get plagued constantly by junk/spam emails ?
The past three months it just keeps getting worse & worse for me. Every time I connect I have to wait until garbage has finished downloading before getting to real mails.
Grrrrrrrrrr

Yep it gets worst, i've had the same email address for 3yrs now, normally get around 30-50 spam emails a day.
I tried to unregister off some of the mailing lists but then I read that when you unregister it proves your email is active then it gets sold on even more.
Only suggestion is having 2 different email accounts, and keep one just for friends and other people you want to email you and say a hotmail account for any sites forcing you to give an email to register.

Charnge your email address matey, and pass it to trusted people only. NEVER publish it on any newsgroups/websites (unless you put a spamtrap in your address such as breadyNOSPAM@freeserve.co.uk).
My mike@telinco.com email address sucked in around 100+ spam emails a day at the last count, so I had to ditch it. Very frustrating, as it was a very easy to remember address for most people!

One of the worst offenders is websites.. boy oh boy do I wish I had known that before putting my email on the sites I designed..
Still the host I use at the mo has a fantastic proggie called SPAM ASSASIN which grabs like 25% but thats still 40-50 a day I have and thats after ditching 3 email accounts this month
Looks like I'm going to have to kill my fav..
Mike had a package yet then?

This is something I will do. the C64.rulez.org service is no longer reliable. I get so many problems logging into the account for emails, and now some idiot managed to break the anti-spam software and now I'm getting trails of crap. I'll update my website with a new email address and put an antispam beside it.kernal wrote:Charnge your email address matey, and pass it to trusted people only.
