The Venus Transit of June 8, when, during a period of about 6 hours, the planet Venus will transit across the disc of the sun. By astronomers this is heralded as the astronomical event of the year, an event, which has not happened since 1882.

At the present place on humanity’s path towards Enlightenment it seems obvious that balance and harmony can only come from the East. If nothing else, part of what is threatening the survival of our species is the dominance of the left brain. This brain half tends to look abstractly at the life of our planet and regard it as dead matter to be exploited based on its calculations.

This is truth in my book. The left side of your brain deals with material objective reality and transforms existence into a series of easily digestable packages. The left side allows an immediate, narrow point of view and is necessary when facing the stresses of this modern world.

The right side is far more intuitive and learns truth at a deeper innate level and helps us to embrace the whole picture of events and has far more empathy based around emotion. Developing and opening the right side is the pathway that leads to spiritual* insight in my opinion.

The left side is as important as the right, but in the current world climate we lean towards the left more so to cope with the pace of this world.


*spiritual insight in this context has little to do with what you are thinking at this moment, it is simply meant as the fire that burns within you at the deepest part of you and drives you to be the person that you are.

Spirituality is a buzz word for the new age and has been cast aside by the masses as weakness. What is spirituality? It is the essence of man. That which connects us to the invisible world within (and without, if you have faith).
