The objective of ElektraGlide is to simply navigate your way throughout courses based on the UK, Australia, and the US. Sounds like a typical racer doesn't it? That's where one would be wrong. Unlike more typical racers, ElektraGlide has you avoiding cubes, spheres and pillars, instead of vehicles and signs.
From a first person view, you navigate your vehicle as what appears to be insane speeds [judging by the scrolling, but is actually about 60 mph/kmh], and whilst trying not to be splattered by the bouncing balls, flying cubes, and the mazes of tall pillars, whist keeping your speed up, due to the tight time limits imposed by the game.
The graphics are quite nice, with an exceptional usage of vector graphics in the intro [forming the title], and very clear and fast graphics on the road, with exceptional detail in the background mountains, and the changes of colour as you progress prevents the graphics from looking monotonous. Although being quite annoying to start with, once you get the hang of it, you'll be able to judge the positions of the cubes and balls with ease, and surely get further in each attempt, with the tight time limit presenting a good challenge, and the player driving furiously through the levels in an attempt to reach the checkpoint-tunnels to prolong the game.
Overall, I would have to say that ElektraGlide is a seriously enjoyable game. Although initially, there is a serious chance of putting some gamers off, I'd say that give it persistence and you'll enjoy it heaps! Click
