NAME:
Ben Hayes (Nutt'67)

COMPUNET ID:
NUTT (Previously BH10)

WHAT HE DID:
Sub-standard demos, mainly, and a fair bit of music. Was a member of PSP and MOR demo groups. Did REVIEW occasionally after nobody else would. Spent far too long on Pline. Got squiffy at CBM shows. Another one being modest!

CLAIM TO COMPUNET FAME:
Erm... well I was one of the few people left at that time to still upload their own demos, even though they were usually bobbins. Almost won the 1989 ICC Quiz, still have the runner up trophy, won a signed Tony Crowther game that was shite. Some of the old PSP demos ended up in the hall of fame, not that you can access that these days...

WHAT'S HE UP TO NOW:
After Cnet, stopped writing sub-standard demos and started writing sub-standard games (Bubble Dizzy, Wrestling Superstars, the unreleased cart version of Kick Off 2). Gave up on computers as a bad job and now I spend my waking life working on rotten old Volkswagens. So much for the childhood dreams of being the next Matthew Smith... still have a C64 and I keep threatening to make another demo before the year 2000... All my C64 disks have since been lost. Very occasional DJ

OTHER STUFF:
My VW Camper van is to be featured in a UK VW magazine. Wow. The love of '60s music is strong as ever, but is joined by more modern forms of audio stimulation. Mogwai, for example... Still haven't completed Impossible Mission.

TOP THREE FAVOURITE PROGRAMS/HARDWARE:
Action Replay Mk5 Pro, Mathematica by Reflex, Bogg Album 1.

BETWEEN WHICH DATES WERE YOU A MEMBER OF COMPUNET:
December 1988 until round about March 1990. I stopped paying my subs after the Istel/Fastrak debacle (got a reminder too, wiped my arse with it). Maybe the system could be found and re-worked on the Internet? How cool would that be? Well, maybe it was of it's time. Bloody good time while it lasted, mind.
