NAME:
David Bain
COMPUNET ID:
EMB1 (KKYTV editor)
WHAT HE DID:
Ran KKY TV, compunet's first (and last) television station.
Actually, that was really just a cheap ploy to get people
to come to the site. I like to think that KKY was the "yahoo"
of its day - we ran over 500 demos reviews, site reviews,
net interviews and comedy; in fact, if the internet had only
happended ten years earlier then I'd be an e-millionaire.
But I'm not bitter (retires to darkened room to make plans
for world domination)
CLAIM TO COMPUNET
FAME:
Wrote an article about Compunet for distinguished national
computer magazine "Commodore Disk User" (if you
haven't heard of it then don't be surprised - it folded after
two issues). Was sent free disks of demos by JASON for review.
Had a few charges waived. (nuff said)
WHAT'S HE
UP TO NOW:
Writing software for banks while failing to become a rock-star
and trying to become a comedian.
OTHER STUFF:
Who was METNET?
TOP THREE
FAVOURITE PROGRAMS/HARDWARE:
Paradroid - the game had such an incredible atmosphere
Witchswitch - really easy, but beautiful graphics & sound
(for the time)
HitchHikers - frustratingly impossible, even with the solution.
[I managed it!]
BETWEEN WHICH
DATES WERE YOU A MEMBER OF COMPUNET:
Think it was 86 to 88, or something.
