NAME:
Shane Mussell

COMPUNET ID:
Chain

WHAT HE DID:
Crap demos... Erm okay so some were okay(ish) well better than H&G's anyway (Ooh, handbags at dawn!). I used to craft the code to my demos with care and concern, which means I used to crowbar everything in... Basically I didn't understand the concept of tidy source code (what's a Jump table for?). What's tidy code?

CLAIM TO COMPUNET FAME:
'ACID @ THE PC SHOW' This was the last ever demo to be released by myself, Froodle (hi Rich) and Nutt'67. This was the first real multipart demo I did and it was class.. All the ideas, from the days when I just couldn't code it, were in there... makes me glow just thinking about it. Shame really because I was working on a massive demo that multi-loaded from disc about the time CNET hit the fan... It was trendy in that you didn't even notice the loading (cool stuff)... aaahhh Those were the days...

WHAT'S HE UP TO NOW:
I'm in technical support for a large Recruitment company, which is just a boring as it sounds. Oh and I'm now a complete Magic The Gathering addict, just give me those cards... slobber slobber...

OTHER STUFF:
Erm.. I'm mad, no quite mad really, don't believe me? Go check out my site then.. Then you'll see... Oh dear... http://freespace.virgin.net/s.mussell (yes, I've checked, and I can verify this man is insane!)

TOP THREE FAVOURITE PROGRAMS/HARDWARE:
The Expert Cartridge... now that was some kit (Three cheers for Shane!), Elite (I've lost track of the amount of time I spent playing this game!) and Lode Runner (a classic), just grab that shovel and whack them over the head...

BETWEEN WHICH DATES WERE YOU A MEMBER OF COMPUNET:
It all started around July 1988 and lasted right up until the end of 1989 when interest in CNET started to slip away. Funny really because the two guys that got me interested in CNET left a couple of months after I joined! (Hi Ash & Dave!).
